Middle School Band

Mancelona Middle School provides 3 performance ensembles for middle school students: 5th grade Band, 6th grade Band and 7/8 Band for 7th and 8th graders.  All bands perform at various concerts and parades throughout the year and the 7/8 Band participates in MSBOA-sanctioned events such as Solo and Ensemble, Band Festival, and Honors Band.  Basic music reading and ensemble skills are developed in these bands that carry over into the high school program.
